Winter is almost done, and you know what that means... Its almost Outdoor Soccer Season. We are gearing up for this season's registration at the club. You will be able to register by coming to our Clubhouse located at 170 Ellis Avenue (The Knights of Columbus Hall), or you can print off the registration forms from our Website at www.pembrokesoccer.com, and bring them in with your payment. Wondering what to do with last season's equipment, that your child has out grown, but still in good shape? Bring in your used equipment (that is still in usable shape) and recycle them at our Clubhouse. We will make sure that they will be put to good use in our new
"Reclaim the Field" program where we will help those in need to equip their children, so that they may play. We hope to see you all at registration, and hope that your children have a great Outdoor Season! |

2010 Indoor Soccer a Possibility |
|
Futsal is a sport in its own right which does not compete with soccer but serves to enrich it. It is widely viewed as the ideal skill building environment for producing technically excellent soccer players. There are proven benefits to playing Futsal for the technical skill development of young players, with particular emphasis on the skills of passing, dribbling and close control. If you are interested in playing Futsal (Indoor) soccer this year please let us know. We are currently looking for players and parent volunteers. We need the volunteers to help with the organizing and coaching our indoor teams. Futsal is the official FIFA and UEFA version of indoor 5 a side soccer and indeed the only internationally recognized small sided game by every confederation. Futsal is soccer in its purest form. It embodies what Pele referred to as
"the beautiful game" Pace, skill, teamwork and high drama characterize this popular indoor game. For more information on the game of futsal visit the Ontario Soccer Association at the address below:
"http://www.ontariosoccer.net/Types-of-Soccer/Futsal/What-is-Futsal.aspx" We are hoping that there is enough interest in conducting an "Indoor" season this year, we are currently asking players, parents, and the membership if you are interested in participating in an Indoor season, possibly starting around the end of October or early in November of 2010. We are asking those who have the courses as coaches to volunteer to coach the Indoor League, and asking parents to volunteer their time to be a part of the staff to coordinate the league. Please take the time to give this some thought and direct your responses to our office. |
