OSA PARENTS ONLINE SURVEY:

As part
of The Ontario Soccer Association’s (OSA)
ongoing efforts to provide members with appropriate support, the OSA
wants to prepare a resource tool to provide soccer parents with information
about what they can expect once they have enrolled their child in a soccer
program.
Past
research within the soccer community has consistently requested:
·
better parent
education about how the sport operates
·
better
communication of the benefits of participation, both as a player and volunteer
·
tools to help
increase overall knowledge of the sport with the grassroots membership
There is
also anecdotal evidence suggesting a need for a resource document (whether hard
copy or online) that will:
·
answer
frequently asked questions
·
outline rules
of conduct
·
delineate
expectations of volunteers, players and parents
·
clarify the
role of clubs
·
provide basic
rules of the sport for those who might need them
With
these goals in mind, the OSA has prepared an online survey designed to hone in
on the specific needs of our grassroots members. It is anticipated that the data
collected in the survey will allow this project to focus on providing the
information that is most desirable to our individual members and club
constituency.
This
survey is to be completed by the parents of players participating in organized
soccer in Ontario. It is a brief
survey which should take 5-7 minutes to complete.
